The Jewelry Vault
We have scheduled our next adventure. Our team will be visiting the actual location of the vault. We had located a map and articles that point us to a specific location. This location use to be a pond infested with water moccasins. It is now dried up. The treasure took 30 men to dig and bury the jewelry vault. We should find a layer of rocks siting over it. In the 70’s an historian and treasure hunter went there when the pond was still full of water. They had seen holes around the pond from people trying to find it. They came back with heavy equipment only to find no trespassing signs. Years later the land was purchased by the State. No one has been back to uncover it. We find a Calusa tribe bone tool on Useppa Island. This is a huge discovery for us and we will continue to look for more remains.Next weekend we will be teaming up with Captain Joe who has been working on finding the treasure of pirate Aury. On this adventure we decipher Louis-Michel Aury’s treasure location. Based on information we have gathered through research and Captain Joe, we have possibly located X marks the spot of Pirate Aury treasure trove.

We visit Panther Key and we begin to search for any signs of Gasparilla as well as his fortune.
As we comb through the area we come across grey rocks with oyster shells that are laid out from about 10 feet long to 4 feet wide. Nowhere else on the island did we find these types of rocks and shells. What do we believe??? Finding most books and news articles that say Juan Gomez was buried in Panther Key, doesn't really prove that he is buried there. Knowing that Juan Gomez was married to Sarah during that time, that she might have been the one to help bury him on the island. Sarah was full blooded indian as far as we know which is why there would have been oyster shells mixed in with the gray rocks. Neither the gray rocks or oyster shells were found anywhere else on the island. We have known of previous hermits that resided on Panther Key after Juan Gomez, but none of them were indian or would have been buried there. Have we found the infamous Gasparilla's grave??? We don't want to say we are 100%, but we will believe that it is very possible that it is his grave. The treasure of Peace River. In the pirate tale it said that after Gasparilla was attacked, he fled to Lady Boggess’s property and paid her hush money to hide him. Three chests were buried there and one has been found. We located someone that has in their possession, the actual treasure. Inside information he told us matches up with our research. What we have found about the pirate tale. The Treasure does exist! We have uncovered an amazing story. #pirates #treasure #treasurehuntingmagazine #treasures #gasparilla #juangomez #adventure #history #discovery #metaldetecting #piratetale
